Escalon Police

Escalon Police are asking for assistance in identifying the man responsible for shooting an Escalon Police Officer. On June 21, 2011 an Escalon Police Officer Shane Johnson was on routine patrol checking businesses in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue after a rash of commercial Escalon Police Chief James Shaw said the officer spotted a man in an alley behind the businesses and stopped to investigate. Upon contacting the suspect a struggle ensued between the suspect and the officer with the officer being shot. The officer is recovering from his injury. The suspect(shown in sketch)is described as possibly Latino, more than 6 feet tall, with dark eyes, curly, medium-length hair and possibly facial hair. He was last seen wearing knit gloves, a long-sleeved black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and white athletic shoes.

Bounmy Sidouang
In April of 2017, Ceres Police Detectives began investigating a case of child molestation. During their investigation, they discovered that the suspect, identified as Bounmy Jeff Sidouang 45 Yrs. of Modesto, was sending inappropriate text messages to a 14 yr old female. The texting lead to an inappropriate relationship that lasted approximately six months when it was discovered by a family member. Bounmy Sidouang has avoided investigators and it is possible he may have fled the area. He was last known to drive a black Honda or Acura style vehicle with out of states plates. Bounmy Sidouang has a violent criminal history and should not be approached.
