Escalon Police Department

Escalon Police are looking for your help in identifying and locating these suspects. On October 27th at approximately 6 PM, there was a robbery in the 2500 block of Jackson in a parking lot of a local business. The victim, a 19-year-old male, answered an ad to purchase an X-Box. He arranged to meet the seller at a public location and when the seller arrived, he met two males who were inside their car. The passenger of the vehicle got out of the car and went to get the X-Box placing it in the rear seat. The driver of the car pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim and began to demand his money. The driver then began to hit the victim in the head several times with the pistol and the passenger grabbed him around the neck in a choke hold. He was pulled from the car and continued to wrestle with the suspects. At this time, he believes one of the suspects used a Taser on him. He was eventually able to pull himself free of the subjects and run home. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for several injuries. The victim described the suspect vehicle as an unknown year metallic flake green Volkswagen Jetta hatch back with black roof rack on it. The driver was described as a heavy set Hispanic male with a buzzed style haircut and wearing a black shirt with khaki cargo style shorts. He possibly has a dark colored mole or freckle next to his right eye. The passenger was described as a Hispanic male approximately 5'8" tall with a thin build. The suspect was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and black tee shirt, both with white logos printed on the front. If you were in the area at the time or have any information concerning this incident please contact Detective Hardgraves at (209) 691-7358.
