CHP is looking for help from the community regarding a recent hit and run incident.
On January 25, 2018, at approximately 7:14 pm, a pedestrian was walking on the north shoulder of westbound S/R-120 east of Union Road. The Pedestrian was pulling a suitcase behind him. The driver of an Audi A6 was driving west on S/R-120 east of Union Road, in the #1 lane, at an undetermined speed. The pedestrian walked out into the traffic lanes and was struck by the Audi. The Audi pulled over to the north shoulder and stopped for a moment before fleeing westbound on SR-120. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries.
The vehicle was determined to be a silver 2002 to 2004 Audi A6 by the evidence collected at the collision scene. CHP Officers recovered the following:
- The right side, fog light bezel with an Audi emblem
- One metal, black wiper arm with an Audi emblem
- One black wiper blade
This Audi should have collision damage to its right front corner, hood and windshield.
