California Highway Patrol

CHP is looking for help from the community regarding a recent hit and run incident. On January 25, 2018, at approximately 7:14 pm, a pedestrian was walking on the north shoulder of westbound S/R-120 east of Union Road. The Pedestrian was pulling a suitcase behind him. The driver of an Audi A6 was driving west on S/R-120 east of Union Road, in the #1 lane, at an undetermined speed. The pedestrian walked out into the traffic lanes and was struck by the Audi. The Audi pulled over to the north shoulder and stopped for a moment before fleeing westbound on SR-120. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries. The vehicle was determined to be a silver 2002 to 2004 Audi A6 by the evidence collected at the collision scene. CHP Officers recovered the following: - The right side, fog light bezel with an Audi emblem - One metal, black wiper arm with an Audi emblem - One black wiper blade This Audi should have collision damage to its right front corner, hood and windshield. Robert Piatt
Stanislaus County Sheriff's Detectives are looking to locate this individual. Robert Shane Piatt, 58 years old, has warrants for continuous sexual abuse of children under the age of 14 years old and under the age of 10 years old. Piatt was last seen driving a 70's model Dodge Executive Motor Home, white with green trim, like the one pictured. Piatt is known to frequent the Keyes, Modesto and Oakdale area.

There is an additional $2500 REWARD for the arrest of this individual being offered. MACIAS has warrants out of Modesto Police & Ceres Police on weapons charges.
